Meet Nicholas and Ms.Rui from our University of Houston chapter!

Since last spring, Nicholas and Ms. Rui have formed a meaningful bond rooted in their shared love for medicine and conversation. Nicholas, a pre-med student, and Ms. Rui, who worked in the medical field for years, have spent months catching up weekly to talk about everything from medical school applications and lab research to storm stories, family milestones, and the theater.

From the start, it was clear their match was something truly special. Nicholas saw in Ms. Rui not just a thoughtful conversationalist but a mentor and friend whose wisdom and life experience enriched every conversation. In turn, Ms. Rui found in Nicholas a curious, compassionate listener who deeply valued her stories and presence.
