Meet Maureen Feldman

Maureen Feldman is a nationally recognized consultant, educator, and advocate specializing in social connection, positive aging, and family caregiver support. With over 20 years’ experience, Maureen has led intergenerational initiatives—such as UCLA-based programs that match college students with older adults to build meaningful, cross-generational relationships and the Daily Call Sheet, a volunteer social call program. She also teaches older adults through the Encore program at the Los Angeles Community College District, empowering older adult students with digital literacy, wellness strategies, and connection-building skills.

She serves as the Founding Chair of the Los Angeles Social Isolation and Loneliness Impact Coalition and was previously Director of the Social Isolation Impact Project at the Motion Picture & Television Fund. Through that work, she convened the first summit on social isolation
and loneliness in 2017 and helped launch numerous programs supporting older adults and family caregivers, particularly around resilience and emotional well-being.

In 2024, Maureen participated in a Japan–U.S. learning exchange exploring how to design for belonging through community-centered, intergenerational approaches. She continues to advise institutions in aging, education, and public health on creating sustainable models that nurture connection, purpose, and mutual understanding.
