Meet Angelika Potempa

Retired Professor of Philosophy

Angelika Potempa is a retired professor of philosophy who is originally from Germany, where she taught and published on ethics, political philosophy, and political humor. For more than 20 years, Angelika worked at different universities in the Rio Grande Valley and taught a broad variety of philosophy courses from intro to graduate levels. She engaged in interdisciplinary projects that interlink strands from aesthetics, ethics, literature, the arts and sciences, and medicine. The clubs she advised also supported community outreach projects. Angelika is currently matched with a student through the Pairs with Pride program.
